Notearearioty: /Note area ryot tee/ To plot her, well, plot, Minerva, added ideas on sticky notes to her story board. This was her first attempt at writing a book and she found that the notes jarred her memory and helped her to focus on the progression of her writing. By the time she got to Chapter 20, her entire work cubicle area was covered in multi-colored sticky papers. Everyone laughed at her decorating skills. One day she came in to find that all the little papers had fallen to the floor in a colorful blizzard. Minerva’s notearearioty came to the attention of the entire office. Her screams were heard all over the building. The book she was working on was tentatively called “Sticky Tickets -How to Keep From Becoming Unglued in Today’s Business Climate”. Etymology: Note (Remnder, post-it note;memory jogger)& Area (a part of a structure having some specific characteristic or function;the extent of a 2-dimensional surface enclosed within a boundary;a subject of study) & Riot (a state of disorder;a joke that seems extremely funny) & Notoriety (the state of being known for some unfavorable act or quality)

Stickyddiction: /stikēdik sh ən/ Brenda has a serious stickyddiction. Whatever inane little thought pops into her addlepated mind gets jotted down on a Post-it and stuck to the fridge. There are so many now that there is no surface of the ice box visible. Brenda doesn*t know how many layers deep they go but last week the weight of these little papers sheered off the hinge of the refrigerator door. After a short panic attack and a few deep breaths Brenda duct taped the door back in place and has taken to eating only dry cereal and stuff out of her freezer. Her friends are considering an intervention. Etymology: sticky note (a piece of stationery with a re-adherable strip of adhesive on the back, designed for temporarily attaching notes to documents and to other surfaces: walls, desks) + addiction (the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity) Created by: artr.

Posthabit: /post-hab-it/ Marcie developed a posthabit because of her intense attention deficit disorder. She needed sticky notes to remind her of everything and it became posthabitual. One day she had so many things to do that she decided to make a dress entirely of stickynotes. The unusual fashion was noticed by the company’s executives and she soon found that she was getting requests to make clothing for the CEOs who needed a lot of meeting reminders. Inspired, she began to create suits, hats and ties made entirely of sticky notes and eventually developed a line of expensive postitwear clothing designed to remind the wearer of appointments, birthdays, and deadlines. After making her fortune selling her sticky clothing creations, she moved into a new line of fashion – velcro playwear for toddlers. Etymology: post-it: a brand of sticky notes + habit: addiction; repetitive behavior + habit: a distinctive dress or costume Created by: mrskellyscl.

Magnetexism: /mag net ex ism/ Dewey Wanter saw his ex Sophia for the first time after their messy break-up at a cocktail party at the Physics Faculty. She hung on the arm and every word of the handsome and urbane Dr.Axel Eration. Sophia had apparently gotten over Dewey long before he got over her. She looked radiant and the whole time they had been together, Dewey never felt as attracted to her as he did now. The magnetexism he felt for her was stronger than at any time during their courtship. Was it because forbidden fruit seems sweeter or that a fine diamond looks more sparkly in a gorgeous setting? In this case, that setting would be the arms of the rugged Dr. Axel. Was this a theory that Dewey wanted to hypothesize about or was he just fission to have a reason to have an Axel to grind? Etymology: Magnet (a characteristic that provides pleasure and attracts)& Ex (former spouse/love interest) & Ism (a belief) Created by: Nosila.

Obsexive: /ob-sex-ive/ Jimmy was ‘single’ again, without any prospects and ran into his ‘ex’ Jenny and quickly fell into an obsexive state, wanting to be back with her. Myexual: /my-ex-u-al/ After the breakup, it only took a few days for Gene to realize he was myexual. Seeing Carol at the party, he knew that the attraction he felt for her now was “different” than before. Carol, back on the market, was looking fine after going on the Jenny Craig diet and getting her face peeled. Gene was more confused than ever about his feelings and he was afraid of what might happen if she saw him, so he went into the bedroom closet and stayed there until she left.
